Self-Forgiveness Week- Day 4 EMOTIONAL CRITICISM & HURT

By Jasmin G

This page is written summary of instructions that Author gives during her daily- ‘Free Online Forgiveness Sessions’. Motivated by Master Faith Sawey's, in her one of the most astonishing class 'Applied Spiritual Technology' (Manila, Philippines), Author started hosting this online sessions in September 2019, as a part of her service. Author learned this technique from her spiritual Guru, Master Choa Kok Sui of GMCKS Pranic Healing School. These instructions are a part of self-reflection practice guided by Author before practicing ‘Forgiveness Technique’. Every day, she focuses on particular aspect of self/ of life/ of behavior or of relationship, when we have ever hurt either ourselves or others.

Based on her own experiences and many previous researches, she believes regular self-reflection practice helps to be a better person.  And therefore, she highly recommends regular practice of this technique.

Greetings of the day!

Welcome to the Day 4 of Self-Forgiveness Workout!

Today we are practicing self-forgiveness for Emotional criticism we ever did.

Recall the time when you have ever criticized yourselves Mentally …..

We always try to pretend that we are emotionally strong and end up at hurting ourselves. The root cause is, we try to control our emotions rather than managing them. If someone’s actions cause you to be very angry or have hurt you deeply, then we pretend to be very cool, but deep inside we try to control and suppress our anger against the person. When this happens for prolonged period, one day we burst out. And unfortunately, this happens when the mistake is so silly, when hurt is literally superficial. So, for that person, it is like ‘I didn’t did something very big, why are you always angry on me, you are really hot headed’….. we too, without any hesitation, willingly accept our ‘hot headed’ picture. And keep blaming our ‘SELF’ for very hot headed. We criticise our ‘SELF’ that I can’t control my words or actions when something goes in my mind. But the truth is, we all are good. What differs among us, is our attitude to ‘ANGER’. Some controls their anger and few manage it…. When we control, we supress and if this suppression is not channelized in proper way it will surely burst out. Therefore, we have to learn to manage this suppression of anger. It requires lot of patience and efforts.

From childhood, we all are programmed that, ‘the strong person never shows his emotional weakness’. Specially if one is a man, father figure, elder or at superior level. And therefore, we always pretend to be very strong, even though we are too weak emotionally. We never ever tried to cry because we are parents, grandparents or because many people look at us as a strong man who endures a lot. But we all are humans. Human have weaknesses. There is not a single person without weakness… if there is, then he/she must be ‘God’.

Few people calcified themselves by pretending to be very strong even, when they are on their death bed. We are programmed not to express our emotions. It is ok to be weak, it is ok to cry out, if that gives you comfort. We all are weak at some point. There is nothing wrong to accept and admit it. Only when we accept our weakness, we start changing them into our strengths. In fact, accepting one’s weakness, is itself an expression of strong person.

So, let’s forgive our-selves, for all these mental self-criticism and sufferings, we have ever caused to our ‘SELF’
