Self-Purification Day - 6 Right Mindfulness’

By Jasmin G

This page is written summary of instructions that Author gives during her daily- ‘Free Online Forgiveness Sessions’. Motivated by Master Faith Sawey's, in her one of the most astonishing class 'Applied Spiritual Technology' (Manila, Philippines), Author started hosting this online sessions in September 2019, as a part of her service. Author learned this technique from her spiritual Guru, Master Choa Kok Sui of GMCKS Pranic Healing School. These instructions are a part of self-reflection practice guided by Author before practicing ‘Forgiveness Technique’. Every day, she focuses on particular aspect of self/ of life/ of behavior or of relationship, when we have ever hurt either ourselves or others.

Based on her own experiences and many previous researches, she believes regular self-reflection practice helps to be a better person.  And therefore, she highly recommends regular practice of this technique.

Greetings of the day!

Welcome to the Day 6 of Self-Purification Work out!

‘Right Mindfulness’ is seventh lessons on eight-fold path given by Buddha. This is the most famous widely practiced technique and approach leading to happy and wholesome life. Mindfulness is called as ‘sati’ in Pali language, which means "retention," "recollection," or "alertness." It is a whole-body-and-mind awareness of the present moment and therefore requires right efforts to do so. It is the constant observation of own body and actions, feelings, thoughts and mental objects. Practicing right mindfulness is the foundation of ‘Right Meditation’ – the last lesson in eight-fold path in Buddhism. This is because it complements to the Vipassana or insight Meditation and enables to realize negative thoughts, actions and words in subconscious or careless mind.

However, practicing it in most rightful manner is important. Often when we practice mindfulness practice, we slowly start realizing that we have so much negative thoughts, wrong or bad thoughts in our unconscious level. So out of fear or shyness and anger we blame our SELF, ‘Oh! How can I think of such a shameless thing? Or doing bad- evil things? Often when we try to imagine something good of us, we recall worst aspect or worst habit of us. And so out of disturbance we get uneasy, stops our practice and never ever try to think of practicing it again. But mindfulness is a practice of observing and not of judging. May be these are not our thoughts. These could be someone else thought that we unconsciously have accumulated in our subconscious mind.

So, if we have ever faced such incidence and stopped continuing our practices, we actually are allowing to ourselves to continue with those bad thoughts rather than throwing them out. Let’s forgive, our SELF for this mistake.
